The Ascription of Guilt

Perhaps the oddest experience is this: finding oneself in precisely the same kind of situation that has historically produced either heroes, traitors, or villains. [Either, you say, is bi-valued, and I used 3 choices. Yes, I say, there is discrepancy at times.] It’s not the decision that produces the classification, by the way; if anything it’s who wins. And you actually can’t not make a decision, because that’s a decision too. Did I mention that it’s these sorts of situations that most commonly produce, too, people who try not to remember?
