About Targeted Marketing

First of all, I’ll make the obvious point that the Web is, although a source of information, not a well-organized one. In fact we haven’t the slightest idea of how to do so. Tags are a small step in the right direction. One problem is that replicating patterns are generally lost in differing systems of representation. So if you have something going on with microbes that goes on with humans it takes someone to state the process in terms that point out the similarities–or it’s generally never noticed.
If Information Mining and Targeted Marketing can be mixed it will be boon not bane. Otherwise…get out the crosses, guys; we’re cursed.
