Dell Enters the Low-End Notebook Market

This article talks about legitimization of the market.  I have one of the Inspirons, incidentally; 2.2 gigaherz (dual core, I believe 32 bit; I must admit I haven’t yet looked), 2 gigabytes of memory, 250 Gig hard drive–for a bit under $500.  I think this will work, and I do think there will be wider usage of the computers with less local capacity.  That may put a lot of the market out of business shortly, which isn’t good.
