spybot s&d–don’t

It no longer works well at all. It is generating too many spurious error messages because of incompatibility with other security programmes and systems (sorry, I deviate to English spelling once in a while). It has not been given a good review by professionals for at least 5 years. That’s valid. Don’t install it. If you do install it, once you start getting the strange messages about your registry…investigate them. [Windows that just won’t minimize: “Windows+D” means “minimize every GD window, period” and I’ve yet to see it not work…dates from the ancient days of windows. You can work around the programs that obfuscate. That particular key sequence you might even write somewhere, because it’s occasionally invaluable. On the note, either “print screen” or “CTRL+print screen” work…when opened in a graphics program (like the freeware program GIMP): you can still take screenshots (how about that).
Don’t use Spybot any more. It’s just not up to speed.
