Ad Muncher. Don’t. All ratings on a 1-10 scale.
It receives a 1.
No, I have almost never bought anything because of an ad and the argument itself is pretty well invalid since about 50% of current internet ads are actively dangerous. Better than that the dangerous sites have interesting things–with millions of horribly dangerous ads that will first of all hijack you to an unwanted address and often (not quite always) attempt to give you some free and unwanted software. The ads slow down my computer a great deal and occasionally sneak by. If the sitemaster is careful, the ads are bearable.
They aren’t careful.

A better review. Google ‘admuncher reviews’ for more bad news except, oddly enough, for PC Mag and CNET, both of which have downloaders that try to and will (respectively) install crapware on your computer. [Note: crapware often is malware.]
PopUp AdSmasheR

The name should be a clue.
Top Ten Reviews http://popup-blocker-software-review.toptenreviews.com/popup-ad-smasher-review.html gave it a good review, which is an extremely bad sign, since these are* paid reviewers. [*ALL STATEMENTS I MAKE HERE UNLESS STATED OTHERWISE ARE OF COURSE OPINION.] In my opinion, the writers here are stupid–which is extremely unlikely given the level of writing–or they are paid to write up malware. To make it simple, they’re crooks. This is my confirmed opinion since using their review among others I tried a piece of software that turned out to be malware. I won’t encourage anyone to follow my lead so I won’t tell you what I tried.

By the way, on a 1 to 10 of regarding software publishers as good at hiding nasty tricks….SOFTONIC gets a 10 in my book.
Ad Annihilator
Bad interface, you have to pay for it (but it’s not offered by Softonic) BUT…
it’s difficult to uninstall. I wouldn’t although it has good although not scintillating reviews.
Am I not a negative soul? I always look for the bad things in software like this.
Having read a number of reviews and then coming across that; it’s a 1. Actually, it’s a -1 since the uninstall bit=malware.
I am being pushed out of this by the NECESSITY TO UPDATE, RIGHT NOW, ADOBE FLASH PLAYER. YOU ARE TOO. NEXT POST BEGINS AFTER AD ANNIHILATOR.
